The Short Answer
Sidi Kaouki is a small village with a very big beach. There are no big hotels, no busy promenade and not much to do in the evening. For many visitors, that is exactly why they come.

- You want nightlife, shopping or a wide choice of restaurants.
- You want a calm sea for swimming every day. The beach has waves and wind.
- You do not like wind. It is often windy, especially in the afternoon.
How Long to Stay
One day is enough to walk the beach, visit the marabout and do one activity. Read our day trip guide. Stay two to four days if you want to surf or kite, as conditions change from day to day. Some surfers and kiters stay for weeks.
Sidi Kaouki or Essaouira?
