Things to Do in Sidi Kaouki
Free things to enjoy on the beach and in the village, plus activities you can arrange with local providers.
Free Things to Do
No booking needed. Most of these are about the beach and the slow pace of the village.
Walk the beach at low tide
The beach is very wide at low tide. Walk south along the water for as long as you like.
Visit the marabout
The white tomb of the local saint stands on the rocks at the north end of the beach. It is a place of prayer, so visit quietly and dress modestly.
Watch the sunset
The beach faces west, so the sun sets over the sea. Bring a jacket, because evenings are often cool and windy.
Watch the surfers and kiters
On windy afternoons the beach fills with kites. It is fun to watch even if you do not take part.
Try local food
Have a mint tea and a tagine or grilled fish at a café near the beach. See our restaurants guide.
Day trip to Essaouira
The old town of Essaouira is about 30 minutes away. Read Sidi Kaouki vs Essaouira.
